1. About this service
pdfmarkup.online provides a free PDF markup tool and a free resume builder ("the service"). By using the service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Your files stay with you
PDFs, drawings, pictures, resumes and markups are opened and processed in your own browser. They are not uploaded to us. You keep all rights to your files and are responsible for having permission to use and mark up them.
3. Check your work
The service is a drawing and markup aid. Measurements, scales, dimensions, colours, text edits and exports may contain errors. You are responsible for checking every output before using it for design, construction, approval, submission or any other purpose. Always keep a copy of your original files.
4. Provided "as is"
The service is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. It may change, be interrupted or stop at any time.
5. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, pdfmarkup.online is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, the service, including loss of data, errors in drawings or documents, delays, or lost business.
6. Acceptable use
- Do not use the service for anything unlawful, or to process content you have no right to use.
- Do not try to break, overload, copy, reverse-engineer or misuse the service, its database or its code.
- Do not send abusive, false or spam messages through the feedback box.
7. Job posts
Job posts are shared for information. Please verify employers yourself before sending personal information. We never ask candidates for payment, and we are not responsible for third-party employers or job sites.
8. Information we collect
To understand usage and improve the service we store: a random guest ID kept in your browser (local storage and one cookie), a one-way device code, browser name, minutes of active use, visits, which buttons and tools are clicked, your time zone, browser language, the country of your connection, the date you accepted these terms, and messages you send us (with your email only if you give it). We do not store your name, IP address, exact location or the content of your files. We do not sell or share this data. To have your data deleted, send a message through Help & feedback quoting your guest ID.
9. Third-party services
The service runs on Netlify (hosting), Supabase (usage database) and jsDelivr (code libraries). These providers process technical connection data under their own terms.
